GL Events will introduce 2 new venues in Asia during AIME 2019 in Melbourne

With the ambition to expand in Asian market, GL events will participate for the 1st time in AIME (Asian-Pacific Incentive & Meeting Event). This knowledge, business and networking event will take place from 18th to 20th February in Melbourne. Two new venues, operated by GL events, will be showcased to MICE professionals.

  • Aichi Sky Expo Convention and Exhibition Center, Japan (Opening in September 2019)
  • Guangzhou Yuexiu Congress Center, China (Opening in June 2020)

 

Aichi Sky Expo is a 60 000sqm versatile facility to open in September. With this significant growth of event capacities, Japan offers new opportunities to exhibition, congress and event organisers. Largest industrial region in Japan, strategically located between Tokyo and Osaka, Aichi is Japan gateway to the world. Situated in bonded area, in 5 minutes walk from Aichi airport (Centrair), Aichi Sky Expo symbolises the willingness to open Aichi to international trade and relations.

Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center is a brand new multi-purpose convention center to open in 2020, is located in historical Canton fair district and comprises 2 exhibition halls of 2,500 sqm, 505-seated amphitheater and 47 break out modular meeting rooms with the capacity from 50 to 800 people. Easily accessible from the 3rd busiest airport in China, next to subway and motorway, the venue is designed to accommodate up to 2,600 people for congresses and conventions.

Organised for the 27th year, AIME is the leading MICE trade event in the Asia Pacific region. The show comprises over 14 000 pre-scheduled appointments to create new and valuable connections with exhibitors all over the world. The majority of buyers come from Australia, major MICE hub in Asia Pacific, and also from China and Japan. Therefore, the show is a great opportunity for GL events to promote new venues in Aichi-Nagoya and Guangzhou in addition to over 40 exhibition and convention centers managed by GL events worldwide.

This event is part of GL events global marketing strategy to grow its brand awareness in Asia.  In up-coming months, the company will also participate in IT&CM China in Shanghai which is one of China’s leading international MICE business and networking events.
